The Organic Congress 2015 offers specialist presentations that puts organic farming in perspective, makes possible to meet with professionals across demarcations and boundaries, gives space to debates and inspiration from home and abroad and an exhibition of products and knowledge. In the evening it is possible to exchange views during a festive banquet with entertainment and music.
The Organic Congress 2015 addresses farmers, consumers, consultants, researchers, catering officers, organisations, authorities and employees in companies with organic products.
This is the 9th congress and this year the congress will be influenced by both successes and challenges in Danish organic farming.
Organics is booming in Denmark. A record number of organic products are consumed, sold and exported.
No other country has such a large sale of organic products per capita, and the number is growing.
Organics in Denmark has experienced an upward trend due to the trusting interaction between farmers, consumers, organizations, businesses and authorities that characterize the organic sector in Denmark.
The organic sector is also innovative. Many new organic products have become the standard in conventional food. But there is an upper limit to everything – even organics, and there are still challenges to address. This applies, for example, animal welfare, climate, biodiversity, diversity on the farm and economics.
The Danish Organic Congress 2015 celebrates successes and addresses the challenges.
In cooperation with two major projects we offer two days of scientific sessions in English on Organic plant breeding and on grain legumes - sessions packed with the latest knowledge, food for thought, interesting speakers, visionary debates as well as a poster exhibition.
